Wolves vs Eldar battle report with pictures

Hey guys so today I thought I would try to add some photos to the narrative battle report today’s game, An Eldar Aspect Host attempts to carry out a strike on an imperial Monastery currently defended by a small contingent of Space wolves. 

The space wolves lead by the young wolf Lord Mishvarg have readied themselves for the Eldars attack, Mishvarg and his retinue of grey hunters have set up on the Monasteries Alter to protect the precious relic. The young blood claws chose to leave the protection on the inner chapel and charge the invading force in an attempt to gain glory whilst the other flank it shored up by the monasteries own venerable Dreadnaught

Seeing the invaders approaching on their relic the blood claws and the Dreadnaught charge down the flanks of the battle ready to kill there foe in combat 

The sudden charge of the Space wolves defense caught the elder off guard, the dire avengers and the farseer move back to increase the gap between them and the oncoming warriors, whilst the fire dragons move up to engage the Dreadnaught bearing down on them 

The blood claws where caught in the cross fire of the warp spiders and dire avengers loosing half their number but they carry on with their charge regardless of the casualties. The fire dragons manage to deal significant damage the dreadnaught but it manages to continue walking on.

In Preparation for their assault the blood claws begin firing there blot pistols into the dire avengers to great effect killing all of the dire avengers in one hale of fire 

Unfortunately the space wolves suffer there first major loss as the venerable Dreadnaught is destroyed by a final shot from the fire dragons as it bore down on them 

The Remaining Aspect warriors move to the edges of the inner chapel to open fire on the grey hunters in an attempt to weaken their defences before a final assault into the chapel.

The grey hunters by some divine intervention of the emperor have managed to weather the incoming volley

Seeing that his forces will never be able to out shoot the Eldar warriors Mishvarg orders his men forward into combat leading the change from the front

The blood claws managed to catch the warp spiders and cut them down with their superior combat strength and Mishvarg tears into the swooping hawks 

Seeing two of the aspect warrior squads falling in combat the fire dragons move back into the cover of the building to open fire on the grey hunters as Mishvarg finishes of the swooping hawks

The far seer knowing the battle depends on him entering the fray charges the remaining grey hunters and with a combination of psychic powers, superior speed , and a surprise attack he manages to kill both of them  

As the battle draws to a close Mishvarg continues his rampage by hacking down the fire dragons taking minimal damage from there combat attacks

The farseer emboldened by his success with the blood claws charges Mishvarg, his witch blade failing to damage him, before being cut down by the wolf lord 

with the battle won the Wolves return to the Chapel ready to fight another day

The humans had gone too far this time, Farseer Eragah stood with his back to the planets infinity circuit he could sense the oncoming destruction he was still unable to devise there reason to attack but they had pushed through every exodite settlement they passed sweeping them aside without thought for the life lost. And now they send 3 of there knight titans go attack the unguarded circuit. He had had visions of the destruction and had absenced himself from another campaign to webway half way across known space to arrive at a the planet just in time but with only 3 of the craftworlds wraithkights and a number of wraith guard he had collected along the way he was unsure if he could change the outcome on this event. That was until a silken voice spoke to him and archon of the dark elder had arrived he would allow the wraith to deploy wia his own personal portal in exchange for the remains of the knights and the pilots inside. Eragah had accepted the proposal working with the dark elder disturbed him but it was a necessary evil to save these elder souls.

Miles away the 3 imperial knights marched in tight formation they had been dispatched to sneak to the elder shire to destroy a supposed relic they worshiped. No ground units had been deployed to support them but a number of dark angel deathwing where readying height above the planet to teleport into the battle should they become overrun.

The knights sensor pickup the swift advance of the elder wraithknights and raised their shields to weather the first barrage of the Eldars destructive weaponry even with the fast reaction this stil bit deep into the armour of the first knight, bringing their own weapons to bare they returned fire but were unable to deal any heavy damage to the oncoming wraith constructs. the wraithkinghts spread out to flank the formation they where able to flank quicker than the knights could position and the distortion beams ripped the lead knight apart, it was at this time the archon made good on his promise with a flash and clap of thunder the archon appeared from the webway surrounded by the imposing forms of the wraithguard they brought their own distortion weapons and a second knight fell. In orbit the deathwing captains must have declared the situation a loss and called of their operation or located a more valuable or secret target they failed to supply the remaining knight with any support. The last knight attempted to finish off a wraith knight before it to was destroyed.

Sorry this one was so short if was a quick game tabled the imperium on turn 2 before his deathwing could come to the aid of the knights (no 6s on the D chart though). But that’s what happened when you put half your army in reserve.

City Salutem

Dawn broke over the lifeless city, casting long shadows from the ruins of the once great buildings destroyed by months of bombing runs by the relentless Necron foe. The cities imperial guard detachment had been broken its regiments routed or harried away.  The final necron force marched through the city; a full destroyer cult let the charge, there deadly beams cutting down what few defences remained, the were supported by the warriors and immortals from a nearby legion. There overlord Int’kas personally over saw the battle remaining at the city’s outskirts away from the fighting, it was beneath him, he did however permit his lychguard to enter the city to hunt for a specific piece of technology for him.

The necron where not the only armoured forms stalking the streets of Salutem. The blood Ravens 3^rd company had been deployed to the city tasked with retrieving a pair of twin relics from inside the city there tactical squads deploying to the ruined buildings spreading out to defend the first relic. The companies’ scouts had reported the Necron advance and noted the location of the second relic.

Despite their element of surprise it was the Necron artillery that made the first shot they dealt the advancing tank Colum a destructive blow destroying a razor back with a single volley the explosion rang out through the streets using the noise the destroyers leapt forward and in the blink of an eye 5 battle brothers and another armoured razor back had been destroyed. There cover blone the companies scouts began trying to take out key targets within the enemies forces the final razor back carring a squad of veterans raced forward to take the fight to the enemy before it joined it fellow razor backs.

Int’Kas allowed himself a moment of pride, they had met the enemy and found the location of the other relic, at his order the forces of his legion advanced under the rain of bolter shells, it was nothing to them some may die but most of the shells never scratched his warriors and so the necron forces advanced raking the space marines with devastating fire. They had broken the finally razor back, its veterans bunkered in the remnants of the tank using its thick hull to screen them from the the bulk of the enemy fire, even in death the vehicles machines spirit still protected them. the lines met it was only a single road separated the two forces. A bolt of warp energy crack the road moments later a squad of the chapters 1^st company veterans appeared in there terminator armour there appearance signalled a new surge in the defending blood ravens, they had held until the necron forces  where close enough to trap in overlapping fields of fire. Warriors began to sustain damage not even there reanimation scarabs could save them from. even the destroyer cult had taken a loses their Lord had entered marshal combat with the captain of the blood ravens company.

A second terminator squad landed on the battle field far behind enemy lines, there mission was not to intervene in the battle, they had deployed for the sole purpose of claiming the second relic already under necron control. Their teleport had diverted but they were still close enough to complete their objective. Some of the necron forces had detected there arrival and turned away from the battle. They took wave after wave of beam fire but they endured for the mission Int’kas barely had time to react before the 4 remaing terminators closed on him in seconds he was bathed in promethium fire shocking his systems before a crackling power fist ended his life.

Many of the warriors had been defeated and whilst the destroyer cult was still a threat to the space marines but they had lost their momentum there speed had been hampered by the buildings they took withering bolter fire from tactical squads positioned inside the buildings. With the relics secured both surviving terminator squads teleported away from the battle field carrying there sacred cargo leaving the remaining tactical squads to secure extraction points and leave the burning wreck of salutem to ruin.

Wraith on wraith

Hello and welcome to anoth narative battle report. My somewhat cobled togeth eldar wraith vs the a necron wraith army.

The craftworld had moved quick there anciant enamy had emerged again. They had come to finish a war started back in time imemorable. Antiant webways burst into life as far see tal'di sped out leeding a squad of the craftworlds wind riders, dehind them raced 3 wave serpents carry all to important wraithguard. The craftworld been unable to spare many of its aspect warriors or guardian deffenders and as such had been forced to awaken the souls of long the long dead.
Backing up the small force where a pair of towering wraith knights that had webwayed into to combat whilst on rout to another conflict. Tal'di new the necron well he had faced them many a time defore and had studdied the text of old. He knew the necron force would be there front link deffence systems mindless canoptek machines led by simple lords awakend to guide the force, he would strike quick and he would strike true, he would not allow the necron to awaken any turther.

Speeding towards the closest unit of wraith, tal'di reached out into the warp to scry the conveluted paths of the future finding the path thqt suited him well her began istracting his wind riders where to shoot. Every shot stuck true damaging the canoptek wraith as if the eldar knew exactly where there enamies week points would be at that exact moment. There alpha stike sucsesfull the jetbikes begant to pull back pursed by the now weekend wraith ,the air shimmered as laser rounds danced through it the decestating fire power of the wave serpents and wrsith knight finished the wraiths allowing Tal'di to make a clean get away.

Tal'di had his judged his enamy, the necron defence system wad being led by 2 destroyer lords, 1 of them lead his squad quickly after the retreating far seer
They perduded there prey relentlessly and managed to catch 1 of the jetbikes shredding the rider to pices with there cold claws. The lord as relentless as he was had not noticed how far out of formation he was, within short reach of the eldar and surrounded on 3 sides the lord was helpless to stop the wraith wrath.

With little prompting as if in some dreamfilled burst of sight the wraithguard had moved to intercept the enamy canoptek wraith. Fogoing there protective transport they marched forward bringing there terable distortion weponry to bear the combined power was to much even for the wraiths shielding and even the lords regeneation thay where taken out of existance in the blink of an eye.

All across the eldar front lines canopteck wraith charged into the silent forms of the wraithguard. There solid forms took the charge with only one of there number killed in the charge. Tal'di and 1 of the wraithknights jummped round the back of the fighting qraith line to attack the exposed necron tanks positioning away from the main battle.
As the necron wraith cut apart the last og the initial wraithguard squad another two turned there guns against them and fired there power still proveing too much for the necron wraith.

Even with the arival of necron warrior reenforcements the wraithguard had wone the battle and althought there wraithbone forms had been damged and scared they themselves where safe. Tal'di gad taken a hit from a stray telsa bolt and his jetbike squad were reduced in number the escaped largly unharmed.

They had wone the battle and destoyed this tomb but who knew how many more would be found on thia world he was growing uneasy the future was clouding ahead of him, the paths once clwar and easy to walk where twisting and crossing, if he listened he could hear a faint chatering and in moments where his eyes closed and the stopped consentrating he saw a great maw oppening before him...

Hope you enjoyed reading this i will try and get a little more detail in next time but im eriting this a couple of days after the game so i cannot remember the details. You get bonus points if you guess who the next oponent is.
